On Thursday, October 5, friends and supporters of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart joined in commemorating the school’s 60th anniversary at the Founders Leadership Reception at the home of John and Woodney Wachter P’31.
The celebratory gathering brought together parents, alumnae, past parents, and school leadership members to honor Stuart’s founders, recognize those who contributed to and supported Stuart’s mission since its inception, and recognized Stuart’s next 60 years with new board co-chairs Woodney Wachter and Paul Teti, whose collaborative leadership and fierce advocacy for female education is ensuring Stuart’s leadership into the future.
Now more than ever, the board co-chairs at Stuart believe that young women need to be cared for and prepared for a better tomorrow. Founding mothers, Millie Harford, Peggy McNeil, and Mary Murray Garrett, envisioned Stuart with their own imagination and built the school with their unique gifts and talents. The current leaders at Stuart would like to thank the staff, faculty, and alumnae for showcasing the same passion and zeal as the original founders.
