The Russian Ballet Theatre will present their new production of Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton. 

Expect all of the splendor of time-honored Russian traditions, costumes, and dance technique. There will also be elaborate hand-painted sets and added choreography to accent the unique production. 

Choreographer Nadezhda Kalinina (of the Mariinsky Theatre, Omsk State Music Theatre, and Teatro Lirico) lovingly reimagines the oldest St. Petersburg version of the ballet with a new prologue, an explanation of the wrath of the evil sorcerer Rothbart, and 150 newly designed costumes executed by Sergei Novikov (of the Marrinsky Theatre, Omsk State Music Theatre, and St. Petersburg State Music Hall Theatre).

Hair designs, makeup, and special effects are by Irina Strukova, known for her film and makeup creations on Netflix, HBO, and Crazy Rich Asians.
