Guests will view six first-floor public rooms, and enjoy holiday piano music in the Music Room and a sweet treat freshly prepared by Greta’s House, Princeton. The format for the Open Houses is self-guided, but docents are available in every room to answer questions. Interior photography is only permitted in the library before the stone fireplace. Guests may tour the grounds, weather permitting, and visit the Olden House gift shop on the property.
Constructed on land that witnessed the 1777 Princeton battle for American independence, today Drumthwacket serves as the stately home and grounds of the official residence of the governor of New Jersey. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and one of the most elegant of our nation’s executive residences, Drumthwacket’s history tells the stories of three unique families who made immense contributions to New Jersey and the U.S.
Free parking is offered on-site, but it is limited. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
To change or cancel a reservation, or for more information, email info@drumthwacket.org or call 973.204.2860.
