PSRC Premier Fall Fundraiser Event with Senator Al Franken
The Princeton Senior Resource Center (PSRC), a community nonprofit whose mission is to help older adults thrive, offers programs for enrichment and lifelong learning, no-cost social services, resource referrals, and much more. Its 2020 fall fundraiser on Saturday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. includes VIP Virtual Cocktails, humor, and discussion with Senator Al Franken.
Former U.S. Senator, author, comedy writer, comedian, producer, and screenwriter, Franken won five Emmys, wrote two New York Times No. 1 best-sellers, brought home two Grammys, and spent fifteen seasons on Saturday Night Live with the likes of Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, John Belushi, and Dan Aykroyd. Most recently, Franken has focused his time and energy on “issues like health care, the growing disparities in income, wealth, and opportunity, climate, immigration, justice, xenophobia, education, the role of money in every part of our politics, and, indeed, the very future of our democracy.”
The PSRC virtual event will have Franken answering pre-submitted questions and discussing his time on Saturday Night Live and the Senate floor. The VIP Virtual Cocktail segment will allow participants to get to know Franken better in an intimate, live-streamed setting. These attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of Franken’s latest book, Giant of the Senate, as well as entry to the 7:30 p.m. Zoom performance as part of general admission.
The VIP event is $200 per ticket ($140 is a tax-deductible donation), or upgrade your donation to $400 per ticket ($340 is a tax-deductible donation). General admission to the 7:30 p.m. performance is $60 per ticket.
