New Jersey’s Latest Fitness Franchise is All About Rowing
By Taylor Smith
Coming soon to Washington Township is Row House, a first-class indoor rowing experience that challenges your endurance, strength, and fortitude.
Utilizing high-tech water rowers, Row House’s 45-minute classes are centered around rowing, resistance training, and stretching. This low-impact workout is easy on your joints and is suitable for all levels. As anyone who has participated in Orange Theory or Crossfit classes can attest, the humble rowing machine is deceiving. Engaging the core, legs, back, and upper body, this is a full-body workout that stimulates a strong cardio response while burning calories and building muscle.
Classes are led by a Row House professional. When the lights go down and the music flares up, participants will be launched into an immersive experience, learning to row in sync with their classmates.
Each rowing machine is calibrated to measure the amount of energy (or output) that a rower is using. Optimizing the performance and technique of each individual stroke will result in a more fluid row and higher calorie output. Users can track and chronicle their data from each class by downloading the Row House app. The app also lets you preview daily class times and schedule your next workout.
The first class is offered free to all participants.
