Former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to Speak at NJPAC

By Taylor Smith

On Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m., former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver a talk at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark. The event is presented by Fairleigh Dickinson University and is part of the New Jersey Speaker Series at NJPAC that has previously hosted former FBI Director James Comey, Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Doris Kearns Goodwin, journalist and political activist Gloria Steinem, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Ian Bremmer, founder of the Eurasia Group. All events take place at NJPAC’s Prudential Hall.

Each year, the New Jersey Speaker Series showcases seven powerful speakers whose life stories and experiences are designed to stimulate, provoke, enlighten, and inspire. Lectures are followed by a spirited Q&A session where the speakers answer questions directly from the audience. The 2019-20 lineup also includes Zanny Minton Beddoes, editor-in-chief of The Economist, on October 24; Bob Woodward, associate editor of The Washington Post, on November 21; American historian Douglas Brinkley on January 30; Peter Diamandias, founder of XPRIZE Foundation, on February 20; Susan Rice, former national security advisor and U.N. ambassador, on March 26; and Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander on April 30.

Sold by subscription only, tickets to individual lectures are not for sale. To place your New Jersey Speaker Series subscription order, call 1,888.MY.NJPAC from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
