Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) has appointed Anastasia Rivkin, Pharma.D., Ed.D., as the dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, effective July 1. Rivkin has been serving as the interim dean.

“Anastasia’s leadership and expertise provide tremendous strength for the future of FDU’s heath initiatives in pharmacy and beyond,” said Michael J. Avaltroni, university provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. 

Rivkin joined FDU as assistant dean for faculty of the School of Pharmacy (as it was then called) in 2012. Since then, she has been instrumental in the development of the Doctor of Pharmacy program curriculum, assessment, and accreditation efforts. 

Prior to joining FDU, Rivkin led the pharmacy practice department at Long Island University’s Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is a registered pharmacist in New York and New Jersey, a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, and an immunizing pharmacist. She is actively engaged in pharmacy practice and education organizations on national and local levels.
