The nonprofit, based in Lawrence Township, says, “We know that when we all succeed, when all families are thriving, our community is stronger. HomeFront shares one story: “Anna was scared and overwhelmed when she called HomeFront’s housing hotline. A string of illnesses in her household — including her young son and herself — meant she had been unable to work steadily for a number of weeks. At her job, if she didn’t work, she didn’t get paid.

“Now, with barely enough funds to cover food and diapers, her rent was overdue. We were able to support her through HomeFront’s homelessness prevention programs, designed to help keep families in their homes and out of our emergency shelter.

“But her needs — and our help — did not stop there. Thanks to all the services available at HomeFront, we also connected her to our Resource Network for food, diapers, and other essentials and even facilitated a new health care connection for her young family. Now, she can breathe, focus — and enjoy a better, more stable quality of life.

“HomeFront provides a comprehensive slate of programs designed to help families in economic crisis address whatever issues they are facing. Every gift has an impact. Every gift provides immediate relief to neighbors in need and contributes to our long-term solutions to stability.”
