ALTO Rooftop at Montclair’s MC Hotel Now Welcoming Guests
Boutique Property Reopens Rooftop with Stunning Views of New York City Skyline
The MC Hotel, in the heart of Montclair, has reopened its doors to its popular ALTO rooftop, the city’s only rooftop bar. Located on the ninth floor of the hotel through the building’s Bloomfield Avenue entrance, the spacious rooftop space is now open for drinks Wednesdays-Sundays, with reservations encouraged through opentable.com. Guests can sip on a glass of sparkling rose or a handcrafted cocktail while enjoying sweeping views of the New York City skyline.
For eats on the rooftop, the hotel just rolled out a new limited BITES menu with offerings that include items like tuna, BBQ pork or burger sliders, to lighter dishes such as a mezze platter and other dips. While Allegory, The MC Hotel’s full-service lobby restaurant, remains closed, the restaurant has also opened its patio space with a limited bar food menu that includes heartier sandwiches, salads, and lobster rolls.
The MC Hotel has appointed a new executive chef, Amber Lancaster, who will oversee culinary for the hotel. Lancaster brings over 10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry working at renowned establishments across Paris and Chicago.
“We have reopened ALTO under stringent new cleaning and social distancing protocols and are thrilled to welcome guests through our doors again,” said Oscar Fontana, general manager of The MC Hotel.
The MC Hotel is part of the Aparium Hotel Group portfolio and one of the first to resume operations in some capacity since closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The reopening of the property’s food and beverage venues serves as The MC Hotel’s first phase of reopening, with rooms ramping up to reopen in the fall.
The MC Hotel is located on 690 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. For more information, visit www.themchotel.com.
