Adapted and directed by Lauren Keating, A Christmas Carol will be on stage at McCarter Theatre from December 7 through December 24. Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic follows Ebenezer Scrooge on a magical journey through Christmas past, present, and future. This annual holiday tradition will usher in the spirit of joy, wonder, and generosity as Scrooge himself discovers. 

New to McCarter, Keating is a professional director and creative producer of narrative film, series, and new and classical theatrical work. She is committed to work that centers marginalized voices and seeks to engage audiences in imaginative, personal explorations of complex and urgent questions. Growing up in the Princeton area, Keating saw A Christmas Carol every year. The staff of artists and creatives at McCarter is thrilled to welcome Keating back to her hometown with such a well-loved play.
