Hitchcock Classic “North by Northwest” at Princeton Garden Theatre
Princeton Garden Theatre will screen the classic Hitchcock romantic-thriller North by Northwest (1959) on Wednesday, September 2 at 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Starring Cary Grant, James Mason and Eve Marie Saint, the film is full of memorable scenes including the crop-duster attack and the Mount Rushmore climax. North by Northwest is one of several Hitchcock films with a musical score by Bernard Herrmann. In addition, the opening sequence was directed by graphic designer Saul Bass. In 1995, the film was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the United States Library of Congress.
