Cycle to Help Save the Sourland Mountains
Early bird registration fee for the Sourland Spectacular cycling event is ending soon. The early bird registration fee of $50 ends on Thursday, August 17. The regular adult registration will then become $65, so don’t delay and register today!
The cycling event at the Watershed Institute on September 9 will feature both staggered starts and lunches. Riders may begin when they would like between 7 to 10 a.m. to complete their route in time for lunch. Pre-event coffee and breakfast will be followed by lunches served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The lunch will be capped by their famous ice cream sundaes. The ticket package includes rest stops, two meals, a gourmet ice cream sundae, support and gear, and race swag.
The Sourland Conservancy hopes you will join the event this year, cycling through the gorgeous forests and farmland of the historic Sourlands, for a challenging yet rewarding ride.
Proceeds from the event will help support a forest restoration effort, now underway. Over the last three years, the Sourland Conservancy has planted over 29,000 trees and shrubs and hopes to plant 12,000 trees and shrubs this year. When posting, please be sure to include the hashtag #sourlandspectacular2023.
