The 27th Annual Jersey Cares Coat Drive
For the past 26 years, the Jersey Cares Coat Drive has mobilized the collection and distribution of thousands of gently used winter coats to men, women, children, and infants in need. Last year, Jersey Cares collected more than 20,000 coats across the state of New Jersey. Companies, churches, police stations, schools, and other organizations volunteered to be drop off locations, and this type of cooperation made the Jersey Cares Coat Drive such a success.
For those in the Mercer County area, Jersey Cares will be accepting coats from now through January 2 at 3371 Lawrenceville Road in Princeton. Drop off hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This site location will accept no more than 10 coat donations per person. If you are looking to donate more than 10 coats at one time, the nearest container site is located at Central Jersey Dental Arts at 1056 Shelton Road in Piscataway. Coats are accepted during office hours and can be handed to the receptionist at the front desk.
Jersey Cares is a well-established, volunteer-based organization that seeks to improve the lives of all New Jersey residents. If you are interested in learning about future fundraisers, donation, and volunteer opportunities, visit https://www.jerseycares.org.
