Join Hopewell Theater on Tuesday, July 12 at 7 p.m. for the continuation of their Art of Living Well Series, which focuses on inspiring films, speakers, and interactive discussions that examine our personal relationships with the natural world. 

The event will include a showing of Big Wave Guardians, a surf film that takes an honest, behind-the-scenes look at how the lifeguard profession began and what it means today. The lifeguards in this film occupy the world’s most dangerous 7-mile stretch of surf on Hawaii’s North Shore. Massive swells, immense undertows, and life-and-death rescues are just part of the job requirements. These lifeguards are some of the world’s best athletes, first responders, and surfers, deploying innovative water safety techniques seen nowhere else on earth. As surfers push the limits on this iconic shoreline the crowds increase, and the lifeguards must raise their own level of attentiveness, ingenuity, and fitness to save the day. 

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test is required by all patrons. Masks must be worn by all patrons whilst in the building.
