American Dream Mall, an entertainment and retail complex in East Rutherford, will be the site of the new Toys “R” Us flagship store. The two-story complex will stretch across 20,000 square feet of retail space. It will also be located adjacent to the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park and DreamWorks Water Park inside of American Dream Mall.

The modern store will be reminiscent of the previous Toys “R” Us experience, which was a leader in the children’s toy division for nearly 70 years before closing most locations across the United States. The former flagship in Times Square closed in December 2015. Under new leadership, Toys “R” Us is slated to open more than 400 new locations across the United States in 2022.
