Virtual Historical Fiction Book Group: “Caleb’s Crossing,” May 14

This May’s Historical Fiction Book Group session presented by the Historical Society of Princeton is Geraldine Brooks’ Caleb’s Crossing. The novel is one of several best-selling works by New England-based writer Brooks.

Set in 17th-century Martha’s Vineyard, Caleb’s Crossing explores the connection between a Puritan family and the son of a Wampanoag leader who would become the first Native American graduate of Harvard.

The Virtual Book Group will connect via Google Meet on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. Professor Sean Harvey of Seton Hall University will offer a talk and lead a discussion exploring the historical themes of the book. Registrants who are Princeton Public Library card holders can access the ebook or audiobook through the library, pending availability. Labyrinth Books is also offering free curbside pickup and delivery.

Pre-registration is required for each participant. Register here: https://bit.ly/2VMtg0g
