9/11 Day of Remembrance Event at Morven Museum
On Sunday, September 11 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., join Morven Museum for a special event entitled, “9/11 Day of Remembrance: The History of the American Flag.” This only in-person patriotic presentation is a way to honor and pay tribute to those who lost their lives on this date 21 years ago. Admission is free and all are welcome.
The event includes a feature talk on the history of the American flag by flag historian and collector J. Richard Pierce. Pierce will discuss the evolution of the flag from its beginning until present day and speak to the many meanings the flag holds for generations of Americans. His talk will also chronicle the growth of the United States through the prism of the national flag and recount stories that are a part of the flag’s history.
Although the event is free to attend, advance registration is required for either of the time slots at https://bit.ly/3cRjSF6. Morven Museum & Garden is located at 55 Stockton Street in Princeton.
