Oak Crest Day Camp Hosts Open House Feb. 23

By Taylor Smith

Oak Crest Day Camp in Somerset will host an Open House for prospective parents and families on Sunday, February 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. At the event, attendees will learn how to save up to $600 off tuition, and find out why the Oak Crest experience is so exceptional.

The Oak Crest Way is a culture of true caring. Staff and campers come back year after year to participate in everything from soccer to ceramics, theater, and the climbing tower. The camp provides door-to-door transportation, staffed with professionally-trained drivers with commercial driver’s licenses in air-conditioned buses. Tuition includes a delicious hot and/or cold lunch every day in the covered picnic area. Campers also have access to a fresh salad bar, bagel bar, a variety of sandwiches, and fresh fruit.

2020 camp dates are:

Week 1: June 29 – July 2 (Camp is closed July 3)

Week 2: July 6-10

Week 3: July 13-17

Week 4: July 20-24

Week 5: July 27-31

Week 6: August 3-7

Week 7: August 10-14

Week 8: August 17-21

Campers arrive at Oak Crest between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. and leave at 4:10 p.m. daily. There is also a half-day option for campers ages 3-5. Groups of similar age are organized based on the grade they are entering in the following September.

Oak Crest’s Owner/Director Jonathan Gold received his MBA from Fordham University in 1987 and his PhD from Walden University in 1996. He holds over 44 years of experience in organized camping, beginning in 1969 as a camper at Camp Becket in the Berkshires.
